Are you getting a new pet for your home this holiday season? If yes, are you wondering about what are pet friendly flooring? If yes, we are here to tell you about pet friendly flooring and give you a few stain removal tips. Read below to learn!
When getting a new pet, many accidents can happen while housebreaking your pet. How will you fare against pet stains that may hinder your house flooring? Here are just a few ways you can promptly remove stains and select pet friendly flooring that still looks amazing in your home:
Clean Up Pet Stains
To make sure stains do not set in your flooring, you have to be quick to clean. When you see a stain, immediately use a cloth or paper towel to dab it clean. An effective cleaning tool for liquid stains is a wet or dry vacuum. Use dishwashing liquid soap and water to lift the stains. Never use laundry detergent or bleach to clean a stain.
You can tell if a stain has not been completely cleaned when you can smell the stain. A pet stain can make an entire room smell horrible instantly. To eliminate pet smells buy enzyme treatments. Enzyme treatments can chemically break down components that cause bad smells.
Use white vinegar and water to clean up urine. It makes for a great cleaning solution.
Prevent Accidents
Give your pet a designated area to relieve his or herself. Pet stores sell special pads or cushions that have built-in moisture barriers and include enzymes that help break down odors and bacteria. This is a great tool for potty training.

Is your flooring family friendly? If you are not sure or you want to install family friendly flooring, we are here to help! Read below to learn about family friendly flooring!
What is family friendly flooring?
Family Friendly flooring is flooring that can resist spills; resist stains, durable, hypoallergenic and affordable. Below are different types of flooring that work for the previously listed concerns:
Slip Resistance
Slip resistant flooring protects children and pets from being hurt, if they fall while running through the house. They are more inclined to slip on smooth surfaces. Some great flooring you can use to lessen the pain of falling for children and pets: rubber mats, cork flooring, and slip-resistant carpeting. We recommend you put these types of flooring in heavy traffic areas.
Durability and Stain Resistance
Laminate floors are great flooring, if you are aiming for flooring made to be durable, as well as stain resistant. Laminate flooring is great to use in homes that have children and pet occupants. It can be easily replaced and it is not expensive to install. The great thing about laminate floors is that it can hide blemishes. Also, Laminate flooring can resist stains that children are most likely to create with markers, lipstick, nail polish and crayons.

Are you considering installing hardwood floors in your home or office? If yes, you are making a great choice! Hardwood floors are a classically attractive décor. We are here to help you choose the best fit for you! Read below to learn about laminate wood floors and true wood floors.
Differences Between Laminate Wood Floors and Authentic Wood Floors
Laminate wood floors are made from a type of plastic. Laminate wood floors are excellent impersonations of wood and less costly than real wooden flooring! But besides the obvious, what is so different between the two types of flooring?
Laminate Wood is more resistant to damage and scratches than wood floors. The only issue with the laminate floors is that once the finish on laminate wood wears down, it can never be refinished. Hardwood flooring can be refinished over and over after being finished for the first time. This capability of hardwood flooring makes it more valuable than laminate wood. Another benefit of authentic wood is that it has more details than laminate wood. Laminate floors do not have special details because the flooring is a photograph placed over a clear sheet of plastic. Natural wood has more accent and variation than any type of laminate wood could ever accomplish.
The Benefits of Hardwood Floors
Hardwood floors are beautiful and do not carry the toxicity that carpets hold. Your wood floors, if properly finished will not be concerned with staining as carpets, if cleaned quickly. Hardwood floors are elegant and definitely worth installing in your home!
